Cinnamon 200gr
There are plenty of reasons to add warming cinnamon to your diet. It's high in antioxidants, which may help protect against disease, inflammation and ageing. What's more, it may improve gut health, dental hygiene, reduce cholesterol levels and lower blood pressure.
Cinnamon is a sweet, woody spice that comes from the bark of cinnamon tree. There are two different types of cinnamon; ceylon cinnamon & cassia cinnamon. While bakery is perhaps the most common usage we think of here in the UK, it is also often used in spice blends and sauces in both Asian and Caribbean cuisine.
Getting normal amounts of cinnamon isn't likely to have a big impact on your health. It's not a good idea to eat a lot of it either. Because cinnamon is unproven as a treatment, there isn't a set dose. Some experts suggest 1/2 to 1 teaspoon (2-4 grams) of powder a day.
It's filled with antioxidants and offers several health benefits, including reduced inflammation and blood sugar levels, improved heart health, and perhaps even weight loss. Cinnamon tea may also fight off infections and reduce PMS and menstrual cramps.
